World’s 1st Hybrid Car Based On Super Capacitor (Sián)

Super capacitor named as ultra capacitor is highly charging and discharging power device. The charge storing capacity of ultra capacitor is much greater than simple capacitor that is why they are called super capacitors. The plus point of super capacitor as batteries is their charging and discharging capabilities instantly 3 times faster than Li batteries.

The negative point of the super capacitor is that the power charge capacity of super capacitor is less than Li batteries. But in the near future these will be the alternates of the Li batteries. The life cycle of super capacitor is 40 to 50 thousands cycles much greater than the life of Li batteries because there is no wear and tear due to chemical reaction in super capacitor.

The first Lamborghini model (Lamborghini Sian) world’s first hybrid vehicle having extra electrical motor and battery but here the battery replaced with highly efficient super capacitor charge device for the first time. These capacitors were recharged from their highly advanced regenerate breaking system.

The V12 combustion engine naturally produce 785hp while the electrical components works on 48 volts and produce 34hp additionally and rise the total peak power 819hp. The Lamborghini Sian pick up is 0-100km in less than 2.8 sec. This car takes the power from the electrical motor and boosts up to the speed of 130 km/h, above that it actually detach from the electric motor and completely relying on the naturally aspirated V12 engine.

Lamborghini Never Used Turbo Charger

Turbo chargers are used to increase the power efficiency of the engine. Turbo chargers are more efficient than supercharger. They use the exhaust gases and run the turbine. The turbine compresses the air and pushes the extra air into the cylinder to burn the excessive fuel smoothly and increase the fuel efficiency of the engine. But due to excessive air drag the turbo chargers becomes a major cause of pollution as compared to natural aspirated engine. Turbo charger effectively used in small V6 engines to increase the power capacity. But smooth and pollution free energy only comes from naturally aspirated engines.

Because of massive air drag and turbo lag (take sufficient time for useful boost up) lag free emanations, Lamborghini never used turbo charger until now on their sport cars. Due to powerful V12 engine Lamborghini don’t need to use the turbo charger to enhance their performance. But on the other hand, 1st time Lamborghini introduced the newly developed 4.0 liter twin turbo V8 engine in their SUV Urus release 650 massive bhp power.
